Social Responsibility
UMAMI focuses on promoting sustainable consumption and production by developing services and products with eco-friendly materials and reducing waste, which aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Weqaya Campaign
The COVID-19 pandemic is a global health crisis caused by the novel coronavirus. It has affected nearly every country in the world, leading to widespread illness and death, as well as significant economic and societal disruption. And us at UMAMI felt responsible towards our society, and accordingly, we have decided to use our talents and resources to raise awareness on the prevention of Corona virus transmission through partnering up with the Public Health Care Authority under the umbrella of Universal Health Insurance Association (UHIA) to produce a video preventing the transmission of the virus.

Generalizing The Ethics of Tourism
In this initiative, powered by the Ministry of Tourism, our goal was to significantly raise awareness about the Egyptian Ancient Monuments through producing a group of episodes in an animated format. Our both creative and interactive approach was to help raise awareness on touristic sights and attractions in Egypt as per the Ministry’s priority program. The target audience for this initiative was children aged from 5 to 15 years old.
UMAMI has been chosen as a community host for innovation for policy foundation(i4policy)
Innovation for Policy Foundation, a charitable foundation established under the laws of Mauritius with certificate of registration bearing. The Global Assembly is a new decision-making infrastructure that gives ordinary people a seat at the global governance table.
We build new decision- making infrastructure
We believe that people need to have a seat at the global governance table. We are establishing a new decision-making body that activates and involves as many people as possible in defining and addressing the challenges we face.
We focus on the means, not the ends
We believe the most urgent challenge we face is not to propose solutions, but to come up with better ways of generating solutions together. We seek never to impose our own views, but create a platform for people to think, talk, listen, co-create and act together.
We are
independent
We seek to understand and engage with existing power structures, while maintaining complete independence from them. Governments, funders and institutions have absolutely no influence over the process.
We trust in people
We believe that our common global challenges require collective global solutions. When people can access the tools to meet, connect and come up with solutions together, they can and they do.
We recognize our biases
We believe that our values, experiences, contexts and identities influence our behaviours and perceptions and it is by actively surfacing and recognizing them that we can best serve others.
We are open
We believe in making available all our documentation, data, source code, methods, and materials.
In 2018
We were Viral
There was a trending video that went over all the social media channels for a child that wanted to sleep an extra 15 minutes in his first day at the school.
We saw the matter differently and we helpedhim to study online through giving him a tablet
