INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
It is the process of creating learning experiences and materials in ways that result in both the acquisition and application of information and skills. It first starts with assessing the client’s needs, designing a journey, developing instructional materials and finally evaluating their effectiveness and impact. Our instructional designers are creative folks who are responsible for effectively conducting a course design including presentation materials, participant guides, handouts, and job aids or other materials. Not only that, they are also responsible for evaluating the course or training which includes assessing what was learnt and whether the e-learning solution produced a measurable change in the behavior and thinking. We adopt the ADDIE Model, however, we can use alternative ID approaches if needed, such as the Successive Approximation Model (SAM) and an agile approach depending on a case-by-case basis.
INTERACTIVE MODULES
The interactive element in the learning process replaced the slide-by-slide PowerPoint presentations that don’t involve interaction nor engagement. This model does not enable learners to retain information or overcome the forgetting curve, hence, at UMAMI we add interactions that are vital to creating a long-lasting engaging learning journey which makes the learning materials easier to remember as well as apply.
Our interaction model involves quizzes, 360-degree videos, adventure stories, branched scenarios, interactive case studies, Various Interactive exercises and gamification. Our courses are categorized into basic, intermediate and complex.
GAMIFICATION
Simply put, in order to maximize enjoyment and engagement and motivate learners to continue learning, we adapt a video game-design and game elements and activities in non-game contexts to help leaners solve problems, advance to the next levels, learn and compete within teams, acquire virtual points and badges in the learning environments.
We create timed and/or scored games. This makes the course competitive and challenging. We Infuse excitement and anticipation by creating levels, Learners unlock the next level of the game when they score a certain number of points. We award badges every time learners reach some milestone.
ANIMATION
AND MOTION GRAPHICS
Using a combination of animated visuals, infographics and text within the learning materials or videos, and this versatile approach is followed to create a variety of learning experiences through micro-learning bites. In addition, learning concepts are explained using stories and scenarios to become easier to understand and engage with. The interactive visuals we present are sharp and creative ensuring effective learning outcomes.
Our videos are categorized into Whiteboard, Explainer and Premium.
INTERACTIVE VIDEOS
We produce branched scenarios and add hints, multiple choice, fill in the blanks and drag and drop questions from a single piece of script to transform it into an interactive video that ensures the Learners’ engagement.

Since learners are enthusiastic towards expert advice and guidance, we produce experts and instructors-featured videos and courses that combine interactive elements such as, multiple choice, drag and drop, fill in the blank questions and gamification creating a high-quality interactive content.

We produce e-books that are engaging both mentally and physically for readers as they flow from one page to another. That is achieved through adding photos, infographics, shortcuts, videos and many other elements alongside the text. Our interactive e-books can be downloaded to all devices with different operating systems such as, IOS and Android.
